We are seeking an experienced Secondary Maths Teacher to teach KS3 and KS4, and support pupils working towards iGCSE Mathematics (Year 11).
Key responsibilities
- Plan and deliver high-quality lessons with clear learning intentions and success criteria
- Differentiate and scaffold learning, including for pupils with English as an Additional Language (EAL)
- Prepare pupils effectively for iGCSE Mathematics
- Assess progress regularly and use assessment to inform planning; maintain accurate pupil records
- Contribute to termly reports and attend bi-annual parents’ evenings
- Promote positive behaviour and a purposeful learning environment
- Uphold safeguarding and child protection procedures at all times
- Contribute to wider school life, including at least one after-school activity
Requirements
- Appropriate degree plus PGCE/QTS (or equivalent teaching qualification)
- Minimum three years’ secondary teaching experience
- Experience teaching pupils with EAL
- Commitment to professional development, inclusion, and safeguarding
