Si Ri Panya International School is a warm, values-led international school on Koh Phangan. We are seeking an experienced Science & Maths Teacher (KS3) to join our Secondary team and deliver high-quality, engaging lessons that support strong progress for all learners, including pupils with English as an Additional Language (EAL).
The role
- Plan and deliver high-quality Science and Maths lessons across KS3, with clear learning intentions and success criteria
- Differentiate and scaffold learning to ensure all pupils make progress, including EAL learners
- Use a range of teaching strategies (including appropriate technology) to make learning effective and enjoyable
- Set high expectations for behaviour and maintain a purposeful learning environment
- Assess learning regularly and use assessment to inform planning; maintain accurate pupil records
- Contribute to parents’ evenings and termly reporting
- Support pupils pastorally and promote a positive, confident international community
- Uphold safeguarding as a daily priority
- Lead at least one after-school activity and contribute to wider school life (events, trips, enrichment)
- Attend weekly staff meetings and engage in professional development and performance management
Person specification (essential)
- Relevant degree plus UK PGCE/QTS (or equivalent teaching qualification)
- Minimum three years’ teaching experience across the secondary age range
- Experience teaching pupils with EAL
- Strong subject knowledge and the ability to deliver inspirational, well-structured lessons
- Commitment to Equalities, Diversity and Inclusion, professional development, and safeguarding
- Up-to-date knowledge of the UK National Curriculum is desirable
